Confessions

Dear Jacky,

I know that I was suppose to look for a birthday present for Martin at lunch today and I had every intention to do so. However, as I was walking towards David Jones I accidentally stumbled into Mollini; seeing that I was there I may as well have a look around right? Would you believe that Mollini was having a shoe sale?? I spotted a gorgeous pair of pink heels with little crystals that would go perfectly with the pink dress I bought the other week, it was the last pair and they had it in my size! (You wouldn’t want me to wear a dress without the matching shoes would you now?) So I had to buy them.

On the way to the counter I spotted another stunning pair of heels, seeing that I didn't own anything like it I thought I’d try it on just to have a look, you know how it is. It just so happened that they looked really good with my suit today (much better than the ones I was already wearing, I know this because the shop assistant told me so, they’re so helpful aren’t they!).

Well, I couldn’t decide which ones to buy…so I bought them both! Now, I know what you are thinking and Yes I do realise that this is the 3rd pair of shoes that I have bought this week and that my closet has absolutely no space and that you are sick to death at having to climb onto the chair to take down the shoes that I can’t reach – BUT they were on sale! Just think of all the money I saved.

By the time I left Mollini it was already time to go back to work, seeing that you’d probably need a break from writing your thesis and studying for exams I thought that it’d be a great idea if you went to buy the present for Martin. I’m a genius! I don’t know why I didn't come up with this idea sooner – well, good luck with finding a present, I’m sure that you’ll make an excellent choice.

So…. how was your day?

Love your Wonderful Girlfriend (who feeds you and lets you play WoW)

Emily

BWHAHAHAHA

That sounds exactly like something i'd do.

But what's this? Molini is having a sale???? How much are things reduced by?!!

Why don't you head back to Mollini, buy a pair of shoes for Martin, another one for yourself and it's all sorted?

hahaha Em, you're classic!

and were you in Parra?! If so, I'm going tomorrow! (please let the sale still be on!)

Riss: they had up to 50% off some stock and it wasn't even old stock!Like it wasn't the stuff that no one wants - I'm so pleased, feels like i got an absolute bargin!

Sophia: don't you start! i saw that you bought shoes today too!

Lisa: Somehow i don't think that my 18 yr old surfie half korean/half chinese cousin will appreciate female shoes seeing that he is a guy and all.

Tash: after Thursday night shopping I really don't think that there will be much left because at lunch they were packed! I'm too scared to venture out of the office tomorrow - to think that i didnt even make it to DJs a few metres away...

Some Dude: DO NOT get me started about WOW!! actually you can view the debate that i have with Jacky's 'Guild members' here: http://outkast.theemily.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=278

Di: I told you that we would be a bad influence when it came to shopping!

ok BettyLisa =P

hahahahhaha!
em I think I'm bad enough as it is, we can perpetuate each other's shoppingdiseases. =D
I used to buy one item of clothing each quarter, or less! And I had literally 3 pairs of shoes.
Then come 2005 some latent shopaholic maniac awakens in me and I go overseas for a little while and come home with 9 pairs of shoes, and all these clothes, and I haven't look back since then!!

Nah, I won't start you on WOW hehe You have to understand though, that playing games is what most guys enjoy doing. Just like with shopping; is what most girls would enjoy doing.

I'm trying not to take side, I can understand from your prespective; that you would like Jacky to spend more time with you to do what you'd like also, right?

By the way, the term is actually "lackey". Blizzard (creator of Warcraft and WoW) used this term in the Warcraft 3. I'm sure you would have noticed; that forum has a lot of spelling mistakes... :S

I'm waiting at the photocopier at work, and I hear two of the PA's talking: "THERE WAS A SALE ON @ MOLLINI! I picked up a pair of shoes for $70!! ". And then the penny dropped, that you were talking about the same thing in your post. As exciting and exhilirating as that conversation was, unfortunately i had to get back to work.

Not all guys play computer games.....well except NBA Live 2006.

Jase: This is much more than playing games, i think that some of the wow guys will play all day every day if they could!

Joel: but think of the money i saved! they were hot shoes!

Dj Ho: Sale and Mollini in the same sentence can only be a good thing.

Yeah I know what you mean. I do not want to be like that. Jacky is not like that, right? I guess playing WoW once every Saturday is not that bad? :S

any girl who lets her boyfriend play WoW deserves as many pairs of shoes as she wants really

and its totally not your fault that mollini JUST happened to be on your way to DJs and JUST happened to have a sale! =D

Just a shoutout to Jacky... I feel your pain dude... LOL :)

PiCkLeS said...

Jase: Saturdays and Monday nights and more if he can get away with it!

Cyn: Totally! I had such good reasoning!

Bosco: what pain?!?!and you can't take his side!

Have you tried to play WoW with him? I mean REALLY tried, not just playing for minutes, but hours? If you can't beat them, join them?

I'm sure you two have some common interests, you can focus on those with him, take him away from the monitor from time to time.

PiCkLeS said...

Jas: there's no need for me to play WoW with him. We don't always have to be together 24/7 it's good to have your own time to do your own things.

And of course we have common interest we wouldn't have lasted this many years otherwise =P

DJ Ho said...

Hey this might sound stupid but what does WoW stand for? I must be living under a rock.

Common interest? Maybe take him to your pole dancing classes!

Anonymous said...

So that means you are okay with him playing WoW after all. :P

dj ho: WoW = World of Warcraft.
http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/ for more info... Not much of a gamer huh?

I'd prefer beer over playing games online/shoes any day :D

This must rank as one of your greatest posts of all time - haha had a good laugh over it.

You and Sharon share pretty similar thought patterns, actually - you and Sharon and thousands of other girls around Sydney, I suspect. I actually can't articulate all my thoughts right now since I'm at work and thinking about work matters... There's nothing wrong with buying sheos, it's actually quite fun sometimes, but... how many pairs of shoes do you have? You have wayyyyyyyyyy too many pairs, seriously - getting Jacky to get shoes for you that you can't reach (and presumably, having to put it back up there once you are done with them :D) is a bit too much.

I know I don't have too many pairs of shoes, because I can reach every single pair that I have without any external assistance ;)

PiCkLeS said...

Dj Ho: refer to somedude's link

Ming: that's because you are an alcoholic

Hoi: oh pleaseeeeeee don't even start! I know that you are just as bad as me!! the reason why you can reach all your shoes is that you're taller =P
