"Life is all about choices. When you cut
away all the junk, every situation is a
choice. You choose how you react to
situations. You choose how people affect
your mood. You choose to be in a good
mood or bad mood.
The bottom line: It's your choice how
you live your life."

Richard A Harvey

I came across this quote in an email and it reminded me of a recent conversation I had with a close friend of mine. Now this friend is a terrific person who I love dearly but it would be fair to say she often chooses the negative over the positive.

If there’s one bit of advice that I can give anyone it is just to ‘choose to let go’…. If something bugs you, make a conscious decision to not care. A simple step like this works wonders and changes your life, for those who know me well there was this one thing that use to eat at me and stress me out; and now every time I catch myself worrying about it, I make a choice to just let it go…and let things be. Because of this, I am now a much happier person and my spirit feels lifted.

I urge this friend of mine (you know who you are) to let the small things go and start living your life for yourself, and then you will see the qualities in you that we love so much.

Life is all about choices; It's your choice how you live your life.

Another Year

Well its October AGAIN… seems as though this year has just zoomed past me! The same time last year we were so excited since we were flying off to Vegas in less than 30 days, now even the trip is a memory. Luckily we have accumulated enough frequent flyer points to fly to HK and back for free, while there we’ll probably also fly to Japan and Thailand. That’s something to look forward to maybe at the end of next year; Cong and Angii might even come along but for now a short trip somewhere close would be nice.

I went looking for a new bikini again today….so many style and patterns to choose from! I really don’t need one since I have 4 sets already, but I can’t help myself!...same goes for shoes I LOVE SHOES…and BAGS …gotta have the matching bag right?!? And don’t even get me started on jewellery! Good thing I work at Baku isn’t it.

But despite my shopping habits I’m actually really good at saving…thus the car and the trip. I don’t mind working because it feels good to be able to afford things that you want and it’s nice to spoil yourself now and again.

I think dinners ready…all my relos are having dinner at my place tonight, better go grab a good seat…food waits for no one!

My Very Own...

Well! having finished uni I have alot more time on my hands, while surfing Mey's friendster I saw a link to her blogs and thought..hey thats kinda cool so with a bit of help from Joel here i am.

I must say...life has been really good recently, I had my graduation last Friday and things finally felt complete. In previous years I set up all these goals that I had to achieve at 21 ....and i have; the 3 big ones were to Complete my Degree, save for and buy a car and have enough left over to go on a world trip. I've been working my ass off since yr 11 with jobs ranging from: Paddy's markets, Chinese take away shops, Ansett, Easter Show, Surveys, Baku...you name it..I would juggle full time uni, 2 to 3 jobs at any one time and still find enough time to make my relationship with Jacky work..... I feel tired just remembering!

But stepping back....it was sooo worth it!! especially the trip...Vegas, Los Angeles, Toronto, Ottowa, New York, London, Paris, Hong Kong, China and Thailand...I came back a more settled, happy and secure person and I look at the world through different eyes...
